16. The Imperfection of Perfection

At this time, in your world, many are those who seek, for themselves, perfection, whether it be a manifestation of physical betterment or an environmental issue.

What good would it do the seeker of such things in the long term, we ask? Physical beauty is a falsehood without the inner qualities to match. For many in your world, only with false vision can they see what is beholden in front of the physicality of the beholder. Beauty, true beauty, that is, can only be found within. What good is outward appearance if the soul is bereft of all that is decent, or if morally corrupt? Too much time in your world is wasted by what we see as superficially mundane in the extreme. To all those who seek such foolish things, we say this: Instead of trying to find ways of enhancing beauty in its most basic form, would it not be more productive to expend your energies in such a manner that would be more beneficial to the soul?

The seeking of perfection is, in a sense, imperfect, as it does not address wholeness in its unadulterated form. The same situation can be found regarding thoughts on the soul's more immediate environment. More often than not, it would be better to improve, or, at the very least, to alleviate the desecration on one's own doorstop, before, perhaps, locating to another place. You see, both these events are very similar in the way that positive results can be achieved. In both cases, would it not be better to find the solution within, as opposed to allowing the soul, as well as the environment of the soul, to continue to fester in such a manner that means that both will, eventually, pay a heavy price for non-action? We say these things to you, not to frighten or cajole you into doing that which you have no particular desire for. However, it is because we want to help you that we say these things to you now, so that you will be able to prepare yourselves for what is to come.

One day, the beauty of the physical will be gone. What shall you replace it with? Yet, the beauty of the soul is never extinguished. It is there for all eternity. Many in your world, because of the short-sightedness of physical attributes, having a lack of these things themselves, believe (wrongly) they are not only inadequate but inferior in other ways, to their fellows. This is a gross violation of spiritual laws. The truth of the matter is this: All are equal in the eyes of the creator. This being so, we should look upon one another as our equal, not as either an inferior or superior being.
Many in your world who are able to communicate with those of us on the other side of the veil, as it were, believe that we are to be possessed as a child would possess its toys, believing themselves to have the sole rights of any knowledge passed on for the benefit of others, as well as being sole owner of the spirit that imparted the knowledge in the first place. To this falsehood, we make the following statement: Do not be fooled into believing that those souls who are fortunate enough to be able to receive information from the world of spirit are anything other than your equal. If the impression is given that this is not the case, then we suggest that you tread very lightly when dealing with these self-deluded souls. Furthermore, we would like to make it as clear as possible that, although we come to teach the truth as far as we understand it, there can be no difference between teacher and pupil. We are each other's equal. Besides, did you not know that there are moments when roles are reversed, as we, too, are constantly undergoing a process of learning, so that we will be better placed to serve humanity?

So, perhaps, now we have given a new insight to the seeker of knowledge. Beware of those who speak to the contrary, for they seek to hoodwink for personal gain. The only difference between us is, perhaps, experience, for those who seek for differences.

We speak with one voice, each with our own uniqueness, yet, we shall remain nameless. We are the collective brotherhood of the universe. This is how we come to you. Names of grand stature have no meaning here.
